Everyone’s scared AI will replace creatives — but here’s the truth: it’s the humans who master it that will leave others behind.
Here’s how you don’t get replaced.
Hey man, had a lot of fun hanging out with you earlier
Same here, it was really fun. The fact you were shy to eat in public was funnier 🌚
Let’s not talk about it man and just get into it
Okay okay 😂
So, some creatives think presentation isn’t important as long as you get the job done. Do you agree?
You have to be intentional about every single part of your photography — from your inquiries, to your photoshoot. There are some people who add a small note when they deliver photobooks or frames to you. This subtle act goes a long way in clients’ perception of you.
It also applies when delivering through soft copies. For example, sending the final photos over to clients for them to download — your presentation matters a lot because it tells the client you’re not just delivering photos — you’re protecting their memories. A tool I use for this is OurPixo.
That’s so true. Earlier you said: Photography is an experience — what do you mean?
I say that because anybody can take a picture. And now with the addition of AI, it’s guaranteed to come out great. That’s why you need to create an experience your client cannot forget — before the shoot, during the shoot, and after the shoot. Every part of photography is an avenue for you to create an amazing experience with your clients.
Like I said, anybody can take pictures. For example, you go into a photobooth, just stand there, smile, and the AI takes your picture, but there’s no experience.
For me — when you book me, you’re booking a comedian, a motivator, a hypeman. Everything is just power-packed into an experience the client is sure to enjoy.
There are a few things you can do to make your client’s experience unforgettable. You can write a thank-you note after a photoshoot or project. You can also offer a gift to your client on their special day, for example their wedding, after you cover the event.
These are tiny things most creatives skip, but guess what? That’s what they remember, and that’s what they’ll talk to their friends about (referrals).
Before our conversation, we laughed and had so much fun. That’s exactly what you mean by “client experience”.
So right now, everyone is talking about AI and they’re scared. What are your thoughts on it?
When I started learning about AI as a photographer and a creative, I was scared. But AI shouldn’t be scary. I mean it’s pretty smart, but it doesn’t have the human touch.
I’ve learned something over time. AI isn’t coming to replace you — it’s the person that learns how to use AI well that’s coming to replace you. AI is here to stay, and the best part? It’s here to make your work easier, faster, and help you be more productive.
I use a lot of AI in my workflow. There are AI tools for retouching photos, for writeups (ChatGPT), etc…. You can use AI to generate a pitch to send to your clients and then add your human touch to make it all come together, rather than spending hours thinking.
There’s a trick I discovered recently on ChatGPT that saves me hours, and it’s this 👇🏼

Use AI to save time, not lose personality in your brand.
I love it! I love it! I love it!
What’s one thing you feel every photographer or creative needs to focus on to truly grow their business?
The first is customer satisfaction. Remember, you need to give your clients an experience that cannot be forgotten.
The second is having a workable structure. What does that mean?
It means, when a client reaches out to you for inquiries, you already have the structure to know the exact result they want, save booking dates, and add a personal touch like sending them a text to check up on them after the photoshoot.
These are the two things I feel you should focus on to increase your sales and level up. Oh yeah — be very good at your craft too 😂
Great photography gets attention. Great experience gets referrals, trust, and growth. That’s what keeps your business alive.
