Some photographers chase moments.
Others learn how to notice them.
For Kofi Amoako Solomon, photography has always been rooted in storytelling, paying attention to emotion, movement, people, and the details many others might overlook. What started from curiosity gradually evolved into something much deeper: a way of understanding the world.
Seeing Stories Everywhere
I got into photography through my love for storytelling, observation, and creativity. What started as curiosity gradually became a passion and eventually a profession.
Over time, I explored different genres, including weddings, portraits, fine art, street photography, and videography, each shaping the way I see the world.
Photography has taught me that every moment has meaning if you pay attention closely enough. Whether it’s a wedding celebration, a quiet street scene, or a conceptual fine art portrait, I’m always drawn to emotion and human connection.
Preserving Culture Through Wedding Photography
Some photographs hold beauty. Others hold history.

One of my favourite wedding photographs captures a couple dressed in traditional Ghanaian attire, sharing a quiet moment together.
What makes this image special to me is how naturally it tells a larger story.
This wedding photograph is one of my favourite images because it beautifully celebrates culture, connection, and joy. The couple was dressed in traditional Ghanaian attire, and the way they looked at each other in that quiet moment felt genuine and timeless.
Beyond the colours and composition, it represents love, heritage, and the beauty of African weddings.
As a photographer, moments like this remind me that photography is not only about documenting events, but preserving emotions and traditions for generations.
The Beauty Hidden in Everyday Life

My connection to photography also extends beyond celebrations.
Street photography has taught me to appreciate ordinary moments, the scenes that many people pass by without noticing.
This street photograph captures everyday life in its rawest form. What drew me to this moment was the contrast between movement, struggle, and routine within a busy city environment.
The image reflects resilience and the unnoticed stories people carry with them every day.
I love how unplanned moments can sometimes tell the most powerful stories.
For me, this image represents reality, hard work, and the beauty hidden within ordinary life.
Lessons Behind the Lens

The biggest lesson photography has taught me is patience and perspective.
Great images are not always created through perfect conditions; sometimes they come from simply being present, observant, and intentional.
Photography has also taught me consistency, discipline, and the value of telling honest stories through my work.
Still Observing, Still Creating
For Kofi Amoako Solomon, photography is more than documentation.
It is observation.
It is preservation.
It is storytelling.
Whether capturing wedding celebrations, quiet street moments, or human connection in its simplest form, his work continues to reflect one central idea: Every moment means something if you slow down enough to notice it.
