To me, photography is love.
It’s something I genuinely enjoy doing, not because of the money, but because of the soul connection it gives me. For me, photography has always been about the feeling in the moment, the energy in the room, and the unspoken emotions between people.
When I hold my camera, I’m not just capturing images. I’m capturing stories, growth, impact, and memories that will outlive the moment itself.
Photography, for me, is purpose.
It’s passion.
It’s connection.
Why I Chose Photography
Photography became more than just a creative outlet for me because it allows me to preserve what people feel, not just what they see.
I’ve come to realise that some of the most powerful moments are often the ones that happen between words, the quiet exchanges, the presence, the atmosphere. That’s what I love documenting.
Every frame is an opportunity to tell a story in a way that feels honest and lasting.
A Favourite Photo That Means More

One of my favourite images represents something deeply personal to me.
For the past three years, I’ve had the opportunity to document Coy Mzungu’s journey, watching him grow from hosting intimate sessions to commanding rooms filled with ambitious creators.
This particular moment was captured during the Golden Creator Workshop, and to me, it represents far more than a speaker on stage.
When I took this shot, I intentionally framed it from behind the audience because I wanted the viewer to feel present to experience the atmosphere, the focus in the room, and the connection between the speaker and the crowd.
The blurred foreground adds depth, but more importantly, it tells the real story: this wasn’t just a speech; it was an exchange of energy.
After working with someone consistently for three years, you don’t just take pictures, you anticipate moments.
You begin to recognise the pauses, the emphasis, the confidence in their stance. You understand when impact is happening in real time.
That image captures leadership, growth, and influence in motion.
And as the photographer behind the lens, I’m proud that I don’t just document events, I document evolution.
What Photography Has Taught Me
One of the biggest lessons photography has taught me is that there isn’t one fixed set of rules everyone has to follow.
Photography is shaped by what I see, how I feel, and the story I want to tell.
That freedom has changed me.
Ever since I started using a camera, I’ve become more observant. I notice details more. I pay attention differently. I see beyond the obvious.
Photography has taught me to slow down, to feel, and to understand moments before they disappear.
My Journey, My Purpose

For me, photography is bigger than pictures.
It’s about connection.
It’s about growth.
It’s about preserving meaning.
And every time I lift my camera, I’m reminded that I’m not just taking photos, I’m telling stories that matter.
